Our Care Package for Leila

We ordered a care package from Ann @ redthreadchina.com. She was so helpful and came highly recommended. We are happy to know that our little one will be receiving these gifts. There's also candy for the nannies to share. We wanted to send a thank you letter to the SWI for caring for our precious baby girl until we are able to come and get her. We were also able to send Ann 6 pictures of our family which she put in a "baby-proof" photo album so Leila can see us. A disposable camera was also part of the Package and we're hoping that we'll get it back with memorable photos of our daughter. We're currently awaiting out TA and hope to have more information soon!

We love this face!!

She has the cutest face. She was born on 10/27/2010 and is from the Zhangshu SWI in Jiangxi Province. She is only 7 months old!! We are all in love, including the boys who want to bring her picture to school. We hope to travel ASAP so we have so much to do!

Introducing Leila Meimiao!!

Words can't describe a day like today. We received the call from our agency at 12:20 this afternoon. Within a few hours we were looking at her beautiful face. We're in love!!

We just heard on RQ's website that we made the cut off this month!! We can't believe it. We never thought we would be in. Now we are just waiting for the phone to ring. Pleeeeeaaaassseee let the phone ring tomorrow!

Easter 2011

We all had a great Easter this year. We actually went out for brunch with brothers, cousins and grandparents; which we usually never do. It was nice for a change to go out and relax and not worry about cleaning the house, shopping and cooking. Mike would actually tell you he does most of that anyway- and he's right. We can't wait to have our daughter/sister with us when the Easter Bunny visits next year!

Our Daughter's First Baby Blanket

Last Friday April 1st, RQ reported that China has completed matching for LID's through June 15, 2011! We have only 13 LID's to go! Even though there are many things we cannot buy without knowing our daughter's age, size, etc; I wanted to celebrate by getting something so I bought the softest, prettiest baby blanket I could find. This will go in the care package we send to the orphanage after we receive our referral. We can't wait!
